Plagiarism Policy
The International Journal of Islamic Law and Society (IJILS) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and upholding ethical standards in scholarly publishing. All submitted manuscripts must be original works and free from any form of plagiarism.
To ensure originality, every manuscript submitted to IJILS will undergo plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism detection software before entering the peer review process. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, improper citation, data manipulation, or duplicate publication will be rejected immediately.
The journal allows a maximum similarity index of 25%, excluding references, quotations, and commonly used academic phrases. However, similarity resulting from improper citation or substantial copying from other works may still lead to rejection, even if the similarity percentage is below the permitted threshold.
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly cited and referenced in accordance with the journal’s citation guidelines. Any ethical violations related to plagiarism discovered before or after publication may result in manuscript rejection, article retraction, and notification to the author’s affiliated institution if necessary.
